MMC Commentary: I believe that this address was just after Election Day for the President of the United States. I made reference to President Carter's hosting of a White House Conference on Library and Information Services. I suggested to the audience that the recommendations that came from that Conference might change since Mr. Ronald Reagan was just elected.
