Interviews, interview summaries, correspondence, testimonies, audiocassettes, field notes, newsclippings, and background articles created and collected by Judith Swazey and Renee Fox as part of their study of the Jarvik-7 artificial heart's development and clinical use (supported by NSF grant no. BBS 8418994). Contents include interviews with Barney Clark's nurses and other Humana Hospital nurses, William DeVries, University of Utah laboratory development scientists, FDA and IRB hearing testimonies, and news casts.
